Zalo Niyoya
Personality
While originally programmed to be kind and happy go lucky, Zalo has long since distanced from his original programming, growing very bitter and angry over the years. Zalo puts on a face of being very prim, very proper and very overly confident and sassy. He tries his best to seem very put together, often mocking and laughing at the others when things go wrong for them. Percy especially gets the worst of Zalo's nastiness, often being the butt of insults or the person to blame should things not work in his favour. He has a very short temper and a colourful vocabulary, but deliberately chooses not to swear, believing it'd make him too similar to Percy.
Zalo, as shown from Part 8, is also very easily scared, initially deciding to split up from Percy he ends up very quickly regretting it. Revealing underneath all the sass Zalo is actually extremely insecure, especially regarding Percy. He is shown to have a tendency to believe himself to not be good enough or unique enough, as such he has deliberately changed alot regarding himself such as the aforementioned choice of not using foul language, but also including things such as his voice, his accent, his appearance, his mannerisms and alot more. However, he still believes it's not enough and doesn't care what length he has to go to be a different as possible. Zalo is aware alot of what he's doing is pointless and petty but also can't shake the feeling of being justified due to Percy at some point telling him he should die and that he should've never existed.
Despite all this, Zalo has shown to atleast care in some way about Percy, Taffy, Ovo and Margo. Although it is more in the way of caring about how he appears to them, he still does worry about them from time to time, yes even about Percy, and he especially worries about Percy's approval.
Appearance
Zalo is a crenasis, a species native to Xiitopia. He is rabbit-like in appearance. He has light red and white colouring and has light blue almost purple eyes with a light blue sclera. He has the usual crenasis features with his light red fringe, hiding his other eye, with a light yellow set of horns ontop of his head. He has a light red circle ontop of his nose and on the bottom of both of his eyes. On his forehead he has a light red upside down triangle shaped pattern. The rest of his head is white with his cheek fluffs on both side with one side hidden beneath his fringe. He has 2 long floppy rabbit-like ears with 2 tuffs, a standard crenasis feature making him a dekikira the most common type, that flow down from his head with his right ear hiding his Insula, a part of a crenaces brain. On the bottom of these ears are a light red circular ring pattern with a second smaller circular ring pattern ontop of it. He also has light red fur markings on his forearms and on the bottom of his feet.
He wears a white button up with a red ribbon tied around his neck, a black vest with 4 yellow buttons on it, black pants with a red rim at the bottom of them. He also dons a white waist apron with a red rim and a singular black pocket with 4 yellow buttons on it, it is tied at the back with a red bow with black stripes on it.
Trivia
- He is the middle brother of the Niyoya brothers, being 23.
- He is presumed to be either Bisexual or Homosexual.
- Zalo is really good at cooking.
- He was given his voice by Doliso Games, also known as hallznek0w0777 or Emma. Which is why he sounds like a girl. Emma also had a very feminine artstyle, explaining his feminine look.
- Zalo has had alot of confusion about his gender, not as much as Percy but still, with people often surprised by him being male. Often thinking he's female due to his feminine look and voice. Mononiiz says she's not bothered by this and that his gender doesn't matter that much but confirmed he is male.
